For the first time I have bananas on my plant, and am wondering if there is an effective way in which to protect them from racoons, etc. We live out in the woods of SW MS. I planted this banana for the foliage several years ago, it dies back each winter, and the conditions here are not ideal for production of fruit. I was surprised that it bloomed last year, and now we actually have bananas, and, as much as we enjoy feeding the wildlife, it would be fun to enjoy them ourselves!
