I'm doing the same thing and here is what I've found so far...
- Watch out for spider mites (I hear a little soap & water in a spray bottle works wonders).
- Don't expect a lot of winter growth.
- Slow down the watering or they will rot.
- Slow down the feeding to allow them to rest.

Outside of that, it sounds like it's compeltely possible. I'm going to put mine in a warm room with a warm humidifier to try to keep them growing... we'll see.
