Zone 6b in s/e Michigan here. I have a nearly 4' basjoo that was potted as a sucker in mid July. I have it outside right now, but will be bringing it in for the winter and then planting it in the ground in late april, after our last frost.

My question's are:

When should I bring the basjoo in for the winter, before/after the first frost?

When I do bring her in, should I cut her down to a few inches above the soil level in the pot or can I leave her intact?

What type of environment is best for her indoors? I would like to keep her growing (if possible) while indoors, but will do what is best for her.
