| Very nice! I heard that ae ae bananas are edible when cooked and make good plantain. Must make a great decoration on the table! And I can only imagine the size the plant itself must be. Thanks for sharing the pics! |

| They are pretty and I am waiting on her to give me some when they are mature. ;) Not sure how I'll eat it since I've heard they are starchy if eaten fresh. Guess I try cooking them as suggested. The tree is about 10-12' tall and in full sun. She's had to apply supports to the tree since it always seems to want to fall over in a rainstorm. |

| The Ae Ae fruit can be eaten fresh. I've found they have a citrus tang to them. You must wait until the bnanana turns completely yellow; the variegation almost disappears. Good job. This is not an easy banana to grow. Very finicky. Steve |

| I keep telling myself that I will have an Ae Ae someday but I'll never get it to perform like that. Beautiful plant. Tell your friend congrats, others are envious of their zone 10 capabilities. |
