Winterizing Ensete Question

It's hard to think about this as it's 91' out right now, but my 4 Encetes are 8' tall and I'm not sure how to winter them in my greenhouse...They were only 3-4' tall last year.

My greenhouse is only 6' high...Can I cut these down like I do my basjoos (the basjoos stay in the ground though) and then put them in the gh??..Will they grow back ok??

I plan on keeping these in pots...I may try to keep one outside and see what happens.

you could cut off all but the newest leaf and lay them flat or at an angle if you need to. Some people let them go dormant in a basement or garage and they do fine with little light and little water. you would have to keep the temps somewhere between 50-55 to do that.
