One banana tree, two banana tree?

I bought one banana tree this summer, I am not sure if I need more then one tree to get fruit, can someone please tell me.

Hi Karen
you only need one. Soon you will get pups, 3 to a corm is a good number for fruit production. The variety is the most important factor.
