I just purchased the Gran Nain (chiquita variety) banana plant, and was just wondering if they grow well in Florida. I just never see the big nanners being grown in backyards. Thank you
Not sure what you meant by big nanners. The plant or the banana's? In zone 10 Florida, my grand nain only grows to about 5 or 6 feet. And it easily produces lots of full-size bananas. My ice cream on the other hand gets 10 to 12 feet tall and the bananas are half size (of a typical store banana).
