Assuming it has some sun exposure I would recommend not trying to make it go dormant. I overwinter my Raja Puri inside. Last winter it grew quite a bit, although clearly not nearly as much as during the summer.

Thanks! How about fruit? How long have you had yours? It's a pretty plant, but I'm a guy: I only started this to get fruit! I'm not afraid to wait years; I just have no idea what to expect!

I have only had my Raja Puri for two growing seasons, so the answer is more than that.

In terms of cutting the brown leaves, you can do it if you want to, but I would wait until they are quite brown. When the leaves die, the nutrients are resorbed back into the main plant.

I'm in South Louisiana and I planted my RP last year and it has fruited this year. It's planted in the ground. The bananas are not large (3-4") but there are about 4 hands that I hope will be edible this year but even this far south, we can get a frost in November.
