Need help with IDing banana tree.

Hello!

I bought two banana trees in fall of 2012. The lady I bought them from didn't say what kind they were but she did tell me just to cut them to the ground in the winter and cover them with mulch. I did that and boy did they take off this year. My small one is a little over 10 ft. tall. I am wondering what kind they are now. I'll attach a picture.

I'll try to attach a few more pictures. Maybe that will make it easier to ID.

I am wondering if I should still cut them at the base and cover them up like I did last year? The are pretty big and thick at the base. They are even bigger now than they were in those pictures that I posted.

The lady I bought them from did not know what kind they were. She just had some extra pups so I bought them.

Looks and grows like both of the ice creams that I've had. Then again, I read something that real ice creams are hard to come by and people actually have namwah...
