No one else has answered so I'll try to answer some of your questions.
I bought some Nam Wah Pearl plugs for $1.50 each in 2008, they grew very slowly compared to other varieties and seemed very weak.
If you are looking for a variegated banana they will be disappointing, the leaves are simply a silvery color.
Agristarts used to carry them and they are no longer in production, I believe because these are a weak clone and not hardy or strong enough to survive on a long term basis.

Thanks alot. At least I lost the bid (on ebay) so I wont have to worry about taking care of a banana with no chance of living, or at least looking nice. Maybe one day I will find a nice sized Ae Ae for a reasonable price!
