First I'm going to wait until the pups get over two feet tall before I try to remove them from the mother. I want to make sure they have plenty of roots of their own. I'll probably sell some of them.

I got it from a local nursery that was having a "33% off one item sale". I only paid $75. for it.

I just got too busy this weekend to take some photos, but I should be able to take some next weekend.

Mine has done the same. Six pups. I harvested two that were 3 feet tall about a month ago. The sword pup took off immediately; the water pup has only put out one leaf. Of the remaining 4 pups; one is growing nicely, one just disapeared, and two more are just sitting there. This has been my experience with Ae Ae pups. They will just sometimes do nothing for several months and then all of a sudden one or two will kick into overdrive. When you harvest the pups, make your cut against the mother as close as possible and then don't lift it for a week or 10 days. The pup seems to take off faster with this method rather than making the cut and digging it up at the same time.

Your plant does seem to be very happy in its corner there!

Yes, it loves that corner. Its south facing, but it was shaded when small by the 12 foot tall Australian Tree Fern in front of it.

Very healthy and happy mommy and pups! Any idea how much you would part your pups for (if that is ok to ask)? Just being curious, but have not decided one way or the other whether I should get one yet.
