| Has anyone had luck leaving these in the ground over the winter. If yes please let me know what precautions were taken. |

| I would think a cage of oak leaves with plastic on top to keep moisture down would work. |

| Here's a mat of Tall Orinoco in Knoxville, TN, zone 7a. It is against the west side of the house, no extra protection last year other than a thin layer of mulch. It didn't grow very well this year, due to the very bad drought here and my pitiful soil. |
