My cavendish has done the same. Its probably due to a mineral defficiency.

you know i have heard so many reasons for browning tips, lately mine have been doing the same thing, first i thought it might be overwatering, so i cut back, then i thought it might be due to low humidity, i guess not very many people even know what causes it, so my guess is it could be over or underwatering, lack of humidity, or a fungus or nutrient deficinecy..it would be great if someone had answeres, but as i have been doing i guess its all up to yourself

It sounds like too much water to me, because I don't ever mist mine and they are fine. Diana55

It could be transplant shock if you just repotted it or changed it's growing situation, like from outdoors to indoors or from a greenhouse to a grow light.
It could be overwatering if you're giving it too much water.
It could be overfertilizing if you just gave it a big load of fertilizer.
It could be a buildup of salts in the pot if you have had it in the same pot and soil for a long time and you don't leach the pot with clear water from time to time.
It could be dryness if you're keeping it super dry and then it develops the crunchy edges.
Also in the fall, I've noticed like now when the days are getting shorter, they tend to lose a few lower leaves when adjusting to the shorter lighting.
So pick which thing you've done lately, and fix it.
