Hello. I have had a Musa Basjoo for 2 years now. It is amazing how much this plant increased in size the second year. My question - when overwintering in SC - zone 7 I basically have been doing nothing. Our lows are usually a minimum of 20 F. Last year, I was left with a mushy stalk by the end of winter that I eventually cut to the ground. Is is best to go ahead now and cut it back or just wait until the new growth begins in the Spring. Thanks for any all advice.
