The water won't hurt as long as the containers drain well.

They could be shocked being moved from nursery to HD to you.

No fert until you see new growth.

I'd just wait.

It's the fall season. The plants are dormant now because of being indoors. When indoors over winter, a banana has lower light levels, lower humidity and lower temps. As unautre said, do not fertilize. For now, just keep the watering to a minimum, no fertilizing until spring comes. Then, you can put them outside. When they start actively growing again, then you can fertilize. As long as the plant isn't turning brown or rotting the bananas are fine. It's normal.
