expiration of water from banana leaves

Has anyone else noticed considerable release of water from the tips of your banana plants? I find it funny that some plants will drip water while the other, which is in the same room, with the same sun and exposure will never drip water.

I grow my plants in my home near the south facing windows, they were all "sucker" plants taken from a large, fruiting plant.

I have a large crown of thorns next to the "dry" banana plant, would be this a factor?

It's called guttation, and it's quite common among large leaved tropicals kept indoors over the winter. The crown of thorns has anything to do with it.
