I have seen several of your posts, and I think this is an important question. Even though many people say the fruits of Helens Hybrid are very sweet and have seeds, I don't think anybody have ever actually tasted the fruits. People say this because of what the seed-dealers are saying.

I can only help you with what I believe to be sikkimensis fruit, wich was sweet and watery, but stringy and full of seeds. Not exactly top quality fruit, but fun to try!
Maybe in a season or two I will be tasting Helens hybrid for the first time!

A Happy New Year Erlend and other friends!

I have been waiting for replies to my question about the
real taste of Helen's hybrid, but unfortunately none of the
direct answer has been received, and I think this fact tells that very few peoples have actually tasted this banana as the species has been introduced quite recently.

However, Erlend, your finding on the fruits of Sikkimensis
gives me a hint how it tastes as this banana is a hybrid betweenSikkimensis and Chinichampa.
