Oh, I'm SO jealous! ;> The only outside banana I can grow is the musa basjoo and you can't eat that :P Of course I am grateful that I can grow that at least! That is so awesome! If I lived in a warmer climate, I'd have lychee trees in my front yard....

| How old is your Grand Nain, Pitangadiego? I just bought one a couple months back. The mother plant was barely three feet and she started sending out pups. Shortly after, she just wrinkled and died without producing any flower! Now the three pups are about 2 ft tall. When I bought it from the nursery, the guy told me the plant will grow 14ft tall, but when I read more about it, it seems it will grow to only about 6-8 ft. How long does it take yours to flower and how long before you get your fruit? |
