Last fall I took all my banana plants out of pots, cut stalks down and placed them in large black bags and closed them up. They were placed in a room that stays cold except this year so far instead of 20 to 40 degrees, it's been 50-60, most of the time and now stalks have broke through the black bags. Not sure if I cut down the stalks again and repackage them, will they survive until spring? I just looked out the window and it is now starting to snow...looks like the warm weather is over for now. I have several varieties if that makes a difference and two are varieties that can take chill. Thank you for any help!
