Jon, do you let the bananas ripen on the tree or off of it?
My family in the caribbean, always cut them off the tree when the banans have full size but still green. They're telling me that they will last long when they ripen off the tree.

I usually pick green, but these ripened much earlier than anticipated. They were green last Saturday, and 3/4 ripe by the following Thursday, at least 2 month earlier than expected.

Wow very nice. Now all I need is bread and mayo! Yet another one with red, just astounding!
