Musa Basjoo winter care

Hello all,

Here is the background. I moved into my place located on the Alabama gulf coast this past May and at the time there were many small Musa Basjoo stems spouting out around the house and around the edge of the yard. They grew like crazy throughout the summer some plants probably getting up to 12ft high. I activly cut off the dead leaves and cut back new sproutings after there were 5 or so estabished stalks in each group. We had our first frost here about a week ago (and might get a freeze tonight) and some of the leaves are turning brown and getting droupy. Question is what do I do from here? Just cut the dead/brown leaves back to the stalk? I really don't want to cut the stalk down and lose all the growth from the season, I didn't get any fruit this season. It only gets cold during the nights here, usually warms up to at least the mid 50's during the day, rarely get below 25-30 at night. Thanks for the advice.
