I've been happy with all 3 of them. But I'm sure there are others. I also know one member of our Association that is looking to sell a couple hives come spring should they survive, e-mail me if you want some contact information.

There's a bee supplier in Spencer OH, pretty much in the middle of Northern OH. You need to place orders early. I go there every year, he's the "inspector" for his area. Very knowledgeable and helpful, especially if you can get there on a day they're not swamped.

Your local bee club can help you identify good sources. Vendors will be present at major spring beekeeping workshops, such as the Tri-County Workshop (OSU Wooster Campus, March 5).

Another good source of bees (packages or queens) in Ohio is Dave Heilman, who is located in Wooster, Wayne County. He told me that he will have 3-lb. packages, and Italian and Carniolan queens available beginning April 9.
