I dealt with Simpsons (packages - http://www.homestead.com/beekeepers/Simpsons.html ), Parsons gold Apiaries (nucs and packages - http://www.bright.net/~pgold/ ), and Dana Stahlman (queens-packages http://www.gobeekeeping.com/prod05.htm , note the sold out message is for last year). I've been happy with all 3 of them. But I'm sure there are others. I also know one member of our Association that is looking to sell a couple hives come spring should they survive, e-mail me if you want some contact information.

There's a bee supplier in Spencer OH, pretty much in the middle of Northern OH. You need to place orders early. I go there every year, he's the "inspector" for his area. Very knowledgeable and helpful, especially if you can get there on a day they're not swamped. Queen Right Colonies

In central Ohio, checkout Buckeye Bee at http://www.buckeyebee.com/ or Waldo Ohio Apiaries at 740 524-6241. Simpsons is another good source that has already been mentioned. Bill Moinette, northern Wayne/southern Medina County bee supplier can be contacted at Tippacanoe@aol.com. Queen Right Colonies is at 440 647-2602. Paul Warstler in Stark County is at 330 484-6184 Your local bee club can help you identify good sources. Vendors will be present at major spring beekeeping workshops, such as the Tri-County Workshop (OSU Wooster Campus, March 5).

Another good source of bees (packages or queens) in Ohio is Dave Heilman, who is located in Wooster, Wayne County. He told me that he will have 3-lb. packages, and Italian and Carniolan queens available beginning April 9. contact information:
