Mason Bees in diverse places

I raise and sell mason bees which I propagate in Alabama.
I wish to receive input from others who keep Mason bees.
I have studied Osmia species for some time, and wish to know what success others have had. I am especially interested to know how bees purchased from distant regions of the country thrived in their new locations? I know, for example, of some problems with bees from the West being re-located to the East, etc.
I hope the information I gather will be useful to others who wish to keep Mason bees for pollination of their fruits and berries. Please post here or e-mail to: bees@mysite.com
Thanks

RE: Mason Bees in diverse places

beefruitful,
First time posting here. I usually hang around Farm Life, Orchards and Organic gardening.
Never had to purchase Mason Bees. I've just taken scrap 4" x 4" and drill 5/16" holes in them. Hang them up in my orchard. Most blocks are full at the end of summer.
My questions to you are,
1. Are there parts of the U S that are low population of Mason Bees?
2. Do you really get more females with 5/16 holes?
3. I leave the blocks out year around. Do you refrigerate you blocks? Bring them out at proper time for pollinating.
Thank You
Eric
