question about location

Hello. We are choosing the site for our boxes and know to place them in morning sun. From everything I've read, it is advantageous to put a bush in front of their flight path so they will fly over the heads of children. (I have four children so this is necessary.) Won't, then, the bush shade the boxes and therefore defeat the necessity of morning sun?

I was thinking of putting a limelight hydrangea in front of the boxes. It grows to be about 7 to 8 feet tall but is not exactly a dense bush.

Thanks for any advice.
