| I just ordered a beautiful cedar mason bee house. I wanted to find out if I could apply stain to the exterior to keep it from weathering and turning grey or if the smell or stain would repel mason bees and is a bad idea? It certainly would look better stained vs. weathering grey where I plan on putting it but I don't want to scare away or harm the mason bees (obviously).
Thanks! |

| At this time I would recommend a light water base stain for your cedar house or better yet to protect and beautify on a single application clear exterior water base varathane no odours and fast dry. |
