I wrote a story for my gardening blog about honeybees. A friend of ours has a website where people can register feral hives on a map and that's how we found out where our bees are coming from. There are actually 3 feral hives within 3 miles of us and two of the hives are less than 1/2 mile away on our neighbor's land. Needless to say, my garden gets lots of welcome visitors.

I'm usually on the Carolina Gardening or Cottage Garden forums, but thought those of you who are bee experts may be interested in this topic.
