New Hive with rain 5 of 7 days

I am concerned about our new bees. We put them in their hive last Wednesday with the usual honey sprayed on the scuppers, on the ledge outside and with a jar resting on a plate on the outside.

With all this rain, the plate keeps filling with water, diluting the sugar water. They can't fly outside to the flowers with all this rain. Are they in danger of starving? I hope this question isn't too amaturish! This is only our 2nd year with bees and we lost the hive last year due to all the ice.

You might want to feed them inside, ...they can get to the food day&night.
There are many way's...most often I feed with a pail of syrup inside a
empty box, the pail on top of the inner cover with hole.
Or use a hive feeder, take a frame out and put hive feeder in with syrup.

Thanks for the help, we have now put a feeder inside. We have sunshine today but rains are coming again this weekend. The bees were still alive but I'm sure they needed nourishment. Our Ohio weather this spring has been pretty cold with lots of rain.
