Bees & Beekeeping

all I lack is the bees

I have assembled and painted my "beginners kit".

I have a beautiful spot picked out to set it.

Have a mentor.

Have been trying to absorb as much info as possible to

gain an understanding of bees and beekeeping.

I had spoken to a keeper who had a nuc of bees, but by the time I was ready, he no longer had a nuc available.

Can anyone here point me in the right direction to get a nuc in the St. Louis area?

Ask your local beekeeping organization if you can go help someone recover a swarm. It's a free way to get your bees, and you'll learn a lot, too.
