| I would like to move 2 hives about 40 feet so they will get more sun especially in winter. Can I just move them to the new location or must I use the 2 feet/2 miles rule of thumb. If I move them at night fall all will be back home. Would the field bees really not re-orientate themselves to the slightly new location the next day?
Thanks Ern |

| You can move them at dusk or first thing in the morning. Change the direction that the hive is facing and lean something up against the entrance to force them to re-orient. |
