Will honey bees swarm 2 days in a row? I bought a nuke last year and fed the bees during the summer and early this spring. I only have the 1 hive. It has been a mild winter. March 27th on a very cold and windy day, I found a swarm on the corner of my front porch. They were so cold they could hardly fly or crawl. I got them in a hive, put a lamp under a blanket and next day they were in pretty good shape.
Next day I found a swarm in a small cedar tree about 50 feet away. It was warmer and I put them in a hive with no problem.
I was surprised that they swarmed and that they swarmed that early. There was plenty of room in the hive with 3 frames that had little honey and no brood.
