Drastic Decline in Bee Population

| Any scientist out there? I'm not one, but I believe that the pesticides we are using combined with the genetic alteration of foods is contributing to the decline of bees. I have two bees in my front yard - literally. When I go to the grocery store and the fruits say "no pesticide residue" I'm supposed to think that's good. Well, I don't. That means that the pesticide is incorporated into the fruit inside. So, what does that do to a humble bumble pollinating the flowers of this "Frankenplant"?
Anyone else concerned? |

| Yes, I'm concerned and I think that genetically modified crops should be outlawed, because we don't know what effects they will have now much less in the long run. There are many reasons why genetically modified crops are wrong, and bad for all of Creation. Greed rules the day, and Greed is behind GM crops and other things. |

| Sevin dust is a far bigger hazard to bees than any crop, modified or otherwise. Several universities are studying the Colony Collapse Disorder and none have found a link to genetically modified crops. Please stop spreading false rumors. I am a beekeeper. |

| No one is spreading false rumors. We are just thinking, which people don't do enough of these days. The truth is that we have no idea what the dangers are of molecularly changing things that have evolved over millions of years, plain and simple. |

| my bee's are doing well. two years ago i had three colonys, right now i have eighteen and on the thirtieth of this month i'll pick up another twenty five. support local farmers by buying localy grown produce in season. let them know your willing to support healthy choices with your business. another option is to start planting open polinated seeds your self and knowing first hand were your food is coming from :) |
