Last year was my first year for orchard bees. I have four PVC tubes with about 30 cardboard tubes in each one. I had about a 7-8 % increase in population, I thought. This year as last year there is a lot of interest in my shop/garage. Upon inspection I found that every small hole had been filled with mud the previous year and I have no idea what the population increase was. When I go anywhere I like to keep the shop locked but I can not because of all the bee activity. Is there anyway to make the bee house/s any more attractive to them such as color or material?
