Native Bee???

Posted by NickRose Z9 San Mateo, CA (My Page) on

I set up my DSLR and let it take 700 photos so I could see what bees/insects are visiting the wildflowers I planted. The flowers that are blooming right now are Linaria. I captured at least 2 different types of bees. I think the first bee is Anthidium manicatum the other I have no idea. Any help with identification would be great.

RE: Native Bee???

Yes, looks like all native bees.
Not sure, the forth and fifth could be leaf cutter bee,.. there are allot of burrowing ground bees also, do a Google search and see if you can match something.

RE: Native Bee???

Thank you. I thought Anthidium manicatum was from Europe so it wouldn't really be a native to the United States.
