Source of bees under potted plant, Help!!

Posted by eileen15 z9 CA (My Page) on

I found out where the bees are coming from! My friend across the street has a hive in her roof!
Does anyone know of a beekeeper that may want to remove them in Downey/Los Angeles area?
They don't seem to be overly aggressive.
Thanks for the help! :)
P.S. they look just like the picture of the bees in the message "Show and Tell your Hive."

Here are some links to people who have interest in bees that may be able to help you find a solution in your area:

State Apiary Inspectors (the CA inspector's office may have info about beekeepers in your area) - http://www.aphis.usda.gov/lpa/pubs/beekeep.pdf

Faculty at UC at Riverside Entomology Dept - http://www.entomology.ucr.edu/

Meetup - http://beekeeping.meetup.com/cities/us/ca/los_angeles/

Well, hope that helps some.

Cheers.
