Received bad advice used moth balls

I am new to bee keeping and received some bad advice from someone who keeps bees and I packed my one hive in moth balls over the winter to keep out wax moths. I have been airing the hive out, but the wax still smells like moth balls? If I replace the foundation, can I still use the hive bodies?

For off season storage I take the frames out of the supers, scrape the supers clean and stack them in the shed. I put the frames in an old non working chest type freezer. Make sure the freezer has a good gasket and seal any drain or vent openings. If you think the frames may have been exposed to moths freeze them in a working freezer a couple of days before putting them in the storage freezer.
