earwigs on top of the inner cover are common, as are ants and ant eggs. A healthy colony keeps them at bay.

There is nothing you can do to "clean" a chamber that would make it as clean as a healthy colony can keep it.

Some questions:How long have you had the hive? Was it overwintered? Do you have a varroa screen on it or just a bottom board? Did you use a mouse guard? In the spring the queen and cluster usually in the top super. This is a good time to do any general house cleaning. I'll pull the top cover and set it upside down on the ground, then pull top super and set it kitty corner on the cover so your less likely to crush bees and they the bottom side is still accessible. Pull some frames from the bottom super to check condition, especially if you didn't use a mouse guard. They will get in there and chew through a bunch of comb to build a winter nest. Replace any damaged frames. Pull the bottom hive body and clean screen if you use one and bottom board with your bee brush. Most beekeepers reverse or flip the hive bodies putting the empty one one top and the full one on the bottom. Once you get the bottom body in place you might want to check some frames to see if the queen is laying well. Is there honey enough to get to the nectar flow, or do you need to feed. If this is a newly installed hive, you just need to do the usual inspections for a new hive. I see you are in CA, so you're way past the sping time. Our dandelions just started blooming here in Massachusetts a week ago.CCRB1 is right about the ants and earwigs. They are more of a bother than something to worry about unless it's fire ants. A strong hive will keep those creatures in check. good luck
