Miner Bee?

I was wondering if this is a Miner Bee. I have a large colony of these bees in my front garden. The aren't bothering any one other than my wife. In fact I was outside photographing these guys when, what I believe was a queen decided to leave the colony. There was a large ball of drones all over her. Made for some good photos.

Thanks for the link. I'm pretty sure they are miner bees. The young have started to emerge from the nests. These guys are pretty energetic, yet docile. I've been able to sit on my step during with a few hundred buzzing around while drinking coffee. So far I've seen at least three different queens leave with a small group of drones in tow as well a one queen and he consort mating on my African Irises. A local gardener thought they might be honey bees, in my opinion they don't act like a honey bees.
