I live in Nc zone 7. This is my first year keeping bees. I installed a new package 6 to 7 weeks ago. I have kept them fed with sugar syrup. I am wondering should I stop feeding them now? It seems like every time I put an entrance feeder on, the bees go nuts and it looks like a robbing situation, but its not, they dont fight, they just fly around the hive, and none of them are fighting. I never find dead bees on the ground after. I once heard someone say that you should feed them until they wont take it anymore, that they will ignore it if there is enough of a nectar flow. Does anyone have any opinion on this?
