wonderful pictures and thank you Konrad. I'm going to look more closely at my bees this season and see what different pollens I see. How does learn what pollen is from what plant? I imagine if willows are the predominant tree in bloom, it would be a good guess. But what about when plant bloom is more varied?

color, also you know that this plant source is good for them.

Because you live where it is really cold, do you have to replace your colonies every year. Here is MA many colonies, even strong vigorous ones, froze this year. If you try to bring yours through, how do you prepare them for winter?

Yes, we do over winter....we try anyway, a package bees is now around $135. Out of 8, 5 hive survived, I'm always amazed that bees can stay in a box most of the time for about 5 month.
