to split or not to split

I Have been a beekeeper for all of 43 days. I purchased a NUC in March and installed it with no problems. I started an eight frame hive. The 5 frames that came in the NUC were full of honey and brood. I've been monitoring the hive about every week. After two weeks the three frames that were added were full with some brood. capped and un- capped honey. I put on a deep hive box with eight frames with foundation. I looked at the top box last Tuesday and most of the frames had either brood, honey, or drawn comb. So I put on a medium super with a queen excluder. The way these ladies are going it seem like the super will be full in no time.

My question is should I consider spliting the hive, or should I put on another super. If I split the hive does the old queen go to the new hive ( so she thinks that she swarmed) or stay with the old one? Thanks for any info Rich
