| I have by default become a beekeeper. I have several carpenter bee nests in my porch swing structure. I don't plan to do anything about them since their destruction to my porch swing will be slow and gradual. By then, I'll be ready to replace it anyway. I seem to see about 4-5 new nests each year. I have noticed that they seem to be very territorial and will chase anything that approaches their nest, though they seem to be tolerant of humans. James |

| Pretty good overall description of carpenter bees (but keep an eye on how fast the wood destruction occurs). |
