found a beehive - can we have honey?

live in the UK - my mum has found a beehive in her garden in a pile of grass she had left there to decompose. She doesnt want to get rid of them and we are not too sure which type of bees they are.

If they are honey bees is it possible to collect the honey? Wouldnt know where to start - any tips or suggestions welcome

Could be wasp...please post a picture.
If they are honey bees, they need to be put into a hive box first, and
most likely you can't expect much honey this year.

So if they are honey bees you are probably not going to get honey and also you have to have some beekeeping equipment to get the honey out. also if they are honeybees you could get a local beekeeper to get them. Happy Beekeeping! -Alex
