I'm no apiarist, but the few bees I've seen this year just don't look that healthy. Heads seem attenuated and they are slow, even in warm temps; tend to sit in odd places; if allowed to crawl on a stick for change of venue, may even fall or crawl off of flowering plants.

I've seen a few going after the moisture under the rabbit cages, but those are the ONLY flying bees I've seen.

I don't use pesticides more than I absolutely must (fly control)--and I avoid all non-target species and areas as much as I can.

Knowing that honeybees are in short supply, this tends to worry me. I happen to like the darn things. :)
