Need confirmation ID on wasp

This appears to be a mud dauber ("mud diver" here in Texas) but I'm not sure. The nest is small, maybe like a robins egg, and paperish or some other brown substance. Nest is built with space only for one or two insects, though. Does anyone know what this is? It nested in our garage after a flooding event.

FYI, it was killed using Mrs Meyers surface spray. All the natural cleaning sprays that use lavender oil work the same - the oil coats the exoskeleton and the suffocate. Good for individual insects found within the house. I usually don't like to kill bugs, but I can't take chances if it's a wasp.

Thanks!
