Lemon balm

I had a big area, over 1000 sq ft, of interplanted catnip and lemon balm last year. A few honeybees showed up, and went only for the catnip, not the lemon balm. This year the catnip didn't come back, maybe because of the snowy winter, so I've got a big area of just lemon balm. Do you think honeybees will go for the lemon balm this year? I know they're supposed to love lemon balm, but they didn't seem to touch it last year.

Whether not the bees work the lemon balm may depend on if there are other, richer nectar sources in the local area, in bloom at the same time as your lemon balm. The bees will obviously express a preference for richer nectar source locations first.
