I just took this picture out the window of the feeder!

What on earth is going on? and are these honey bees? Click on picture to enlarge it.

These are honey bees and somebody is going to get sugar syrup honey....no good.
Some hummer feeders are bad, the syrup level should be low, so bees can get at it, perhaps your is leaking or a bad design?
I would take it down and check, I use a feeder with bee guard.

Yep it looks like the sugar to water ratio is to strong it should 4 parts water to 1 part sugar I never see my bees at my feeder and I have 15 hives in the back yard.

honeyman, you have hit on the problem. I have been doing l cup sugar mixed with a little water to dissolve and then just adding more water to make a quart. DH tells me I used to do the l quart to l cup ratio. Don't know why I changed!

We will see how that works.
