Are honeybees back?

Here in Western PA, I hadn't seen a honeybee in years. Not that I have really been looking for them - I'm not a beekeeper. I heard they had been wiped out by mites. Now I am seeing a lot of them in the white clover in my lawn. Are they making a comeback or am I just lucky to have one of the surviving hives nearby?

RE: Are honeybees back?

Here in Wichita, KS, ( I just moved here from Oklahoma, City ) I have a 25'X25' garden patch. I saw
Z E R O bees from May 20th until two weeks ago when some of my AG pumpkins opened. Two days ago, the catalope opened up and WOW, I can find 10-15 bees now hovering over my garden mostly focused on the catalopes...

Today, I read that bees will come to honey , so as an additional inticment, I set out a small 3'yellow lid six inches off the ground with approx 1X16th on an inch of honey on it...I hope that will keep them bees a coming !
