Honey bees in my garden: where's the hive?

Hi,

I'm a gardener who likes to attract the honey bees to my garden and am being very successful. I'd like to understand a bit more about where the hives might be. I can only assume that someone within a few miles of me must own some hives. These can't be wild honey bees, right?

The bees love the lavender and vitex in my garden, along with many other perennials that I grow to attract butterflies. My garden is a certified Monarch Waystation and a NWF Backyard Habitat.

I use only organic products in my garden, but would like to make sure that even those aren't harmful to the bees. The only thing that I use against insects (Japanese Beetles) is Neem oil on my roses, but I cut off the blooms during JB infestation time. I use PlantTone as a fertilizer. Are these products safe for the honey bees?

Thanks so much,

Cameron
