package bees slow to build out comb

| I installed 2 packages (3lb) May 1, 2009. here it is Aug 7, 2009 and only 5 or 6 frames are built out. The look very healthy, good football pattern of capped brood, no small hive beetles at all, which is strange. I installed with checkmite strips, but last year they had built out the deep hive 10 frams in only 2 months. We did have a lot of rain and a couple heat waves, maybe that had an effect. I have fed them both since installing and still am feeding. any ideas |

| This late in the year I doubt you will see much more comb drawn even in z9. |

| if there is not much stored honey you need to feed them |
